Student Clubs
Academy Ambassadors - Purpose is to identify future ambassadors and prepare them for the role when all four academies are available. Ambassadors will create awareness of the pathways available, provide campus tours, participate in school and district events, and become leaders on campus.

Board Game Club - Purpose is to create enthusiasm for gaming and social learning through board games and to spark curiosity through strategy and problem-solving. *Available to all students. Join any time!

Book Club - Purpose is to cultivate an appreciation for literature, libraries, and the freedom of information, as well as establish an environment where students encourage one another and feel comfortable to share their thoughts and opinions. *Available to all students. Join any time!

Cooking Club / Munchin with Mavs - Purpose is to educate students about cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety, while encouraging collaboration, responsibility, and enjoyment of culinary arts in a safe and respectful environment.

Dungeons & Dragons Club - Purpose is to create enthusiasm for gaming through role-playing games to grow imaginations. Instagram@mavericksdndclub

Film Club - Purpose is to foster a knowledge and appreciation for film. Also to provide opportunities to explore a possible career in film.

Key Club - Purpose is to serve others, build character, and develop leadership skills through student-led community service initiatives.

MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) - Purpose is to promote education, community, engagement, political participation, culture, and history.

Student Government
The purpose of Student Government is to represent the voice of students regarding school matters, develop unity and school spirit amongst the students. *Must be in Student Government class.

Boys Basketball - Purpose is to fundraise and purchase needed items for the club.

Cheer - Purpose is to promote school spirit and be gameday support.

Cross Country - Purpose is to help students build endurance, discipline, and resilience while working toward personal and team goals.

Dance - Purpose is to raise money for our dance program and to run all parts of the dance program.

Football - Purpose is to cultivate a championship football program that will pursue competitive greatness while serving and empowering those around them.

Girls Basketball - Purpose is to develop players' skills through instruction & competition, fostering essential life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.

Girls Volleyball - Purpose is to raise money for Girls Volleyball Program at Goodyear High School.

Goodyear HS Colorguard - Purpose is to provide students with a supportive space to develop skills in flags and equipment technique, while building confidence, discipline, and teamwork.

Goodyear HS Drumline - Purpose is to build a strong sense of community between the marching drums. We will also support the instrumental music department in any way we can.
